House Of Blues show MOVED to Paladino’s

Unfortunately due to a MAJOR mistake by Live Nation and House Of Blues LA my show at that venue was cancelled.
They canceled my show apparently because they ‘Double Booked’ the night. I was told a corporate event was being held
in the room that night and therefore my show was cancelled. They told me this 4 days before my show after they have been selling tickets on their site for well over a month. NIGHTMARE! BUT… the good news is I was able to secure a venue for the same night in Los Angeles county at a place called Paladino’s. It is located at 6101 reseda Blvd in Tarzana .
The release party will go down as planned on October 23rd at Paladino’s. VIP packages will be honored… For those who bought
standard tickets on line unfortunately those tickets will not be honored at this venue however Live Nation MUST refund those purchased tickets to you.
You will get your money back through Live Nation. Tickets for Paladino’s will be available at the door for $20.00.
Doors at 7pm 9:30 Showtime…. I am totally frustrated by this situation and never in a million years imagined this could happen… especially with a brand name like
House Of Blues. BUT…. The show must go on!

Cd Release Party and new single

Quick Update… New single ’24 Hours’ will be available for download in just a few days (Sept 1st). The music video for the song will be posted at AOL online as well as my official youtube channel (links will be posted here). … AND… we are planning an official cd release party in Los Angeles late October (prior to the official cd release date). The full cd will be available for sale at the cd release party. Show date will be announced very soon.

Hello Friends and Fans,
After a grueling 6 months of international travel I am happy to say that I
will be back in the studio for the next month and a half working on what will
hopefully be my next release. I am very excited about the new music and
looking forward to sharing it with all of you! My next live show is in Studio City
at the legendary Baked Potato. This is a very cool little place that many amazing
musicians have performed in the past. I will be performing 2 shows the night of
June 28th. This will also be a special show since I will reunite with my long time
musician friend Arlan Schierbaum who will be adding Hammond Organ and
Electric Piano. I hope to see you there.

Tokyo unauthorized VIP tickets

I felt the need to make a post here regarding the Tokyo show.
Apparently VIP and tiered tickets were offered for this show.
I had absolutely no knowledge that these VIP tickets were offered and
no financial participation in them what so ever for this Tokyo show.
It was not until one of my band mates after the show rushed back into the dressing room telling me there was a big problem outside with some of the fans who were expecting a meet and greet. I was told that they were being refunded for the VIP cost however I immediately went out into the venue and signed autographs and took pictures with the remaining fans.
In order to avoid a situation like this again official VIP tickets will only be sold directly from my website. If VIP tickets are made available at any other site or venue that information will be confirmed in writing at richiekotzen.com under the live shows section of the site next to that specific show. All merchandise money earned on this show was instructed by me to go directly to disaster relief. Now with this unscrupulous move by the ticketing agency I am concerned to say the least. I am so sorry for anyone misled by this move but I promise you, I had no knowledge of this until 20 minutes after my show ended. To the fans who remained in the club it was my pleasure meeting you. Hello Friends and Fans,
I’m home from a great time at Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. I met a lot of wonderful people and had a lovely time coaching my band ‘Black Snow’.
I thought they did a great job with their performance. Being a part of Mark Farner’s performance of ‘I’m Your Captain’ was at the top of my list
of my favorite on stage moments. It was nice meeting and performing with Roger Daltrey as well. I am looking forward to being a part of the
February camp in the Bahamas. Now that I’m home I will go back in the studio and continue with my recordings. At this time I have about 10 songs
finished all though knowing me none of them will actually end up on the next cd LOL…
To my peeps in Brazil please check out the new dates I’ve posted…. We’ve got 7 shows in March! Nice Times!
